Drip Announces Fairchild 670 PCB October 13, 2010 02:21 4 Comments

Drip Electronics, maker of boutique PCBs for tube projects, released a PCB for a clone of the Fairchild 670 last month. The Fairchild 670 is the stereo version of perhaps the most lusted after piece of gear ever. According to Drip, the 670 is a 100% accurate reproduction of the original, with all 20 tubes and 13 transformers (count em!). PCBs are $400 for the first two weeks of production, and $600 after.

Hi Jamie, as far as I know, Drip Electronics does not plan to offer any full kits for this project. The Fairchild circuit is especially complex and people like to build it in different ways, so I’m afraid offering a kit for it is probably not practical.

hi did you get the 660 farchild kit yet? somone emailed me and said another guy would get back to me but nothing yet and its been mounths is this real or just a wish realy id like to know thanks jamie

I friend of mine brought me the FAIRCHILD 670 PCB recently, I said :
“I’ll make one for you”, no problem, but I am going to get a 12U or 13U rack to accommodate the PCB!
The FAIRCHILD front panel itself is only 5U, why is this PCB 525 × 425 mm?
That’s about 7U too much!!!???

I don’t get it?
